Well, the success of Dominion has really started something. The deck building game is really seeing some surge in popularity. Ascension is the newest into the foray. Designed by Magic Pro Tour champions Justin Gary, Rob Dougherty, and Brian Kibler, with artwork by Eric Sabee, this game is similar to others where players purchase their cards by spending runes from a central area on the table. The players, over time, build up their deck to defeat The Fallen One.
